Subject: Proposal for Planting Low-Maintenance Trees on Available Plots in DHA City, Karachi
Dear Administrator,
As a concerned citizen of Karachi, I am writing to share a suggestion that could significantly benefit DHA City, Karachi. It has come to my attention that there is a substantial amount of available land within DHA City. I propose that this land, along with all the plots that are currently unoccupied, be planted with fast-growing, low-water-consuming trees such as Kikar, Boar, Conocarpus, and Sophaida.
These tree species are particularly suitable because they require minimal maintenance and can thrive with little to no watering. My suggestion is to plant these trees across all available plots. When a plot owner decides to start construction, they can notify DHA and request permission. At that time, DHA can arrange for the trees to be cut down. Given that these trees mature within six months to a year, this initiative could generate significant revenue for DHA through the sale of the wood.
Moreover, planting these trees would transform DHA City into a greener, more environmentally friendly area. The presence of these trees would lower the ambient temperature by 2-5%, and potentially up to 10%, leading to reduced electricity and air conditioning costs for both DHA City and its residents. This initiative would also create high-oxygen zones, similar to the green towns in Dubai.
Additionally, the vacant land within DHA City could be similarly utilized. These trees require no ongoing maintenance and, when the time comes to develop high-quality horticulture, they can be harvested. As mentioned earlier, the trees can be sold, or alternatively, a small pallet factory can be established to convert the wood into pallets. This factory could generate income ranging from 5 to 50 rupees per kilo of wood.
Should you be interested in pursuing this proposal, I can facilitate an introduction to my brother, Irfan Allahwala, and the team at https://pellet.pk/, who can provide expertise and assistance in this endeavor.
Implementing this suggestion would not only create a mini-forest within DHA City but also provide numerous ecological and economic benefits. I trust that this proposal will be given due consideration and look forward to your positive response.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Rehan AllahwalaTo, The Administrator, DHA City, Karachi, Karachi, Pakistan. Subject: Proposal for Organizing a One-Week Tree Planting Festival in DHA City
Dear Administrator,
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to propose an exciting and beneficial initiative for DHA City, Karachi: a one-week festival dedicated to tree planting, involving students from across the city.
The idea is to invite students from various schools and colleges to participate in a week-long event focused on planting trees in DHA City. This festival would serve multiple purposes, including promoting environmental awareness, engaging the youth in meaningful activities, and showcasing the beauty and planning of DHA City.
Here is a brief outline of the proposed festival:
1. Transportation and Logistics: Students will be provided with sponsored transportation to and from DHA City, ensuring their safe and convenient participation.
2. Sponsored Lunch: A sponsored lunch will be arranged for all participating students, ensuring they are well-nourished and energized for the day’s activities.
3. Tour of DHA City: Upon arrival, students will be given a guided tour of DHA City. This will allow them to appreciate the development and beauty of the area, fostering a sense of pride and connection.
4. Tree Planting Activity: Each student will be encouraged to plant anywhere from 10 to 100 trees. These trees will be provided by various sponsors who support the greening of DHA City.
5. Educational and Inspirational Talks: Throughout the week, brief sessions can be organized where environmental experts and motivational speakers can address the students, emphasizing the importance of tree planting and environmental conservation.
6. Certificates and Acknowledgements: At the end of the festival, participating students can be awarded certificates of appreciation for their contribution to making DHA City greener.
This festival would not only enhance the greenery of DHA City but also instill a sense of environmental responsibility among the younger generation. It would be a unique opportunity for students to experience DHA City’s environment firsthand, learn about its development, and contribute positively to its ecosystem.
I am confident that this initiative will receive an enthusiastic response from schools, students, and sponsors alike.
Thank you for considering this suggestion. I await your positive response.
