ایک بہت محترم دوست نے بارش کے دوران شہروں میں جمع ہونے والے پانی کے حجم کے بارے میں پوچھا ہے۔ سادہ ترین الفاظ میں 1میٹر بائی 1 میٹر کی پختہ سطح پر اگر 1mm بارش ہو تو یہ 1 لٹر پانی بنے گا۔ اس فارمولے کے تحت 4اسکوائر کلومیٹر (2 کلومیٹر بائی 2 کلومیٹر) کے پختہ ایریا پر اگر صرف ایک ملی میٹر بارش ہو جائے تو یہ تقریباً 1MG یا ایک ملیئن گیلن پانی کا حجم فراہم کرے گی۔ ایک ملئین گیلن یا 1MGD پانی مری جیسے شہر کی دو مہنے تک کی پانی کی ضرورت کے لئے کافی ہے۔ ہمارے ہاں کراچی ، لاہور اور دوسرے بڑے شہروں میں برسات کی بارشیں کئی کئی ملی میٹر ہوتی ہیں۔ 1 ملی میٹر بارش سے پانچ مرلہ گھر کی چھت سے تقریباً 100لٹر ، دس مرلہ گھر کی چھت سے تقریباً 200 سو لٹر اور ایک کنال کے گھر سے تقریباً 400 لٹر تک پانی اکٹھا کیا جا سکتا ہے۔ یاد رہے کہ گزشتہ کل کراچی میں 80 ملی میٹر سے زیادہ بارش ریکارڈ کی گئی ۔ ☔️🌧💦🚿💧☔️🌧💦🚿💧☔️🌧💦🚿💧☔️ Via Zafar Iqbal Wattoo
