Startups Are Like Life Itself

Most people want to start startups with a purpose.
They ask, “What problem will it solve?”
But that’s not how creation works.
That’s not how life works.

A startup is like a baby.
You don’t plan a baby only to fix a problem.
You love, you connect, you live — and life happens.
The baby comes.
You nurture it. You feed it. You protect it.
You don’t yet know who it will become — a poet, a scientist, a wanderer —
You just love it into existence.

Startups are born the same way.
You feel an energy inside you — a spark, a pull, a whisper that says “create.”
You don’t overthink what purpose it should have.
You just begin.
You build. You give it your time, your attention, your heart.
And slowly, it begins to grow — to find its shape, its soul, its own destiny.

If the baby feels too big, think of a cat.
You bring one home — at first, it takes all your time.
You feed it, clean after it, play with it.
A year later, it needs you less — but still comes to you for warmth,
and gives you love when you least expect it.
That’s a startup too — born from curiosity, kept alive by care,
and sustained by the love between its creator and creation.

And now, my friend, is the best time in human history to create one.
To build your own app, your own service, your own dream.
You don’t need permission, investors, or even a team.
All you need is an idea — and the courage to start.

Find one thing that annoys you.
One thing that makes you say, “I wish this existed.”
That wish — is your startup.

Go to ChatGPT, type that wish, and say:

“Make this into a one-page startup idea for me.”

Then just start.
Don’t think too much.
Because overthinking kills more dreams than failure ever will.
As the writer Tim Ferriss once said:

“Conditions are never perfect. Someday is a disease that will take your dreams to the grave with you.”

So stop waiting.
Start.
Because creation itself is the purpose.
And like life, your startup doesn’t need a reason to be born —
It only needs someone to love it enough to begin.
