I went to a Indian Culture program this week in Boston, and I was the ONLY Pakistani there, and people were SCARED that I was there. Why were they scared ? Because I was born a muslim, and they have had someone who died when they were migrating to India 65 years a go. What did we do about it ? Reached out to MORE AND MORE people and introduced my self, and offered them to be my friend, and I request you the same, Reach out to the people who Dislike you because they DO NOT know about you enough, Reach out, tell them about you , and your beliefs, but first ask them about them and their beliefs. I grew up in Pakistan, was told a lot of weird things about Hindu's and Indians. Less than a month a go, I met a Hindu Indian man, who I spent the last 7 days with in his house, He did not know me, but let me stay with him, He does not eat any meat, never has in his life, So I ate with him, saw how he lives, One of the most cleanest house I have seen in the world, and I had to be super careful living in it, worrying not to harm anything , as his house is more like a museum. He feeded me , Made my breakfast, Literally poured medicine down my throat while I was sick for last 4 days, and took care of me, like a older brother will take care of anyone, I did not feel that I just met him 3 weeks a go. This was my first experience to live for a week in almost anyone's house, and let alone be a hindu man. This man is extremely connected, has all the means of the world, and did NOT have to let me stay with him at all, as I had nothing to offer in return, yet he did, and It was a amazing experience, and when I left the house, i was given banana's , Water bottle, and Medicine bottles, which I had no choice to take. I think I can not offer him the same to him if he comes to my house , as I think he is too busy man to spend a week in my house, but i request all of you who ever is reading, Please open your hearts, and your homes and your food table for conversations, specially with the ones, you least know about, or have a negative thought of, as only and only through conversation, would you know, what reality of ANYONE IS.
