One beautiful day, Mulla Nasrudin was walking through a busy village market when he heard a large crowd cheering. Curious, he went closer and saw a tightrope walker performing high above the ground. The performer carefully walked along a thin rope while balancing a long pole in his hands. Everyone watched in amazement as he took one careful step after another. Mulla Nasrudin was impressed by the man's courage, concentration, and skill. After the performance, Mulla decided to speak with him and learn the secret of his success.
Mulla asked, “My friend, walking on a rope so high above the ground must be very difficult. ایک خوبصورت دن ملا نصرالدین گاؤں کے ایک مصروف بازار سے گزر رہے تھے کہ انہیں لوگوں کے خوشی سے شور مچانے کی آواز سنائی دی۔ وہ تجسس کے ساتھ قریب گئے تو دیکھا کہ ایک فنکار زمین سے کافی اونچائی پر بندھی ہوئی رسی پر چل رہا تھا۔ اس کے ہاتھ میں ایک لمبا ڈنڈا تھا جس کی مدد سے وہ اپنا توازن برقرار رکھے ہوئے تھا۔ لوگ حیرت سے اس کا کرتب دیکھ رہے تھے۔ ملا نصرالدین بھی اس کی ہمت، توجہ اور مہارت سے بہت متاثر ہوئے۔ جب فنکار کا مظاہرہ ختم ہوا تو ملا نے اس سے بات کرنے اور اس کی کامیابی کا راز جاننے کا فیصلہ کیا۔
ملا نے پوچھا، ”میرے دوست! اتنی اونچائی پر ایک پتلی رسی پر چلنا یقیناً بہت مشکل ہوگا۔ آپ اپنا توازن کیسے برقرار رکھتے ہیں؟“ فنکار مسکرایا اور بولا، ”میں اپنی توجہ قائم رکھتا ہوں، پرسکون رہتا ہوں اور ہر قدم احتیاط سے اٹھاتا ہوں۔ اگر میں خوف زدہ ہو جاؤں یا اپنی توجہ ہٹا دوں تو میرا توازن بگڑ سکتا ہے۔“ ملا نصرالدین نے کچھ دیر سوچا اور کہا، ”یہ بہت اچھی بات ہے! زندگی بھی رسی پر چلنے کی طرح ہے۔ ہمیں مشکلات کا سامنا کرنا پڑتا ہے، ہم غلطیاں کرتے ہیں اور کبھی کبھی ناکام بھی ہو جاتے ہیں۔ لیکن اصل کامیابی یہ ہے کہ ہم اپنی غلطیوں سے سبق سیکھیں، دوبارہ اپنا توازن قائم کریں اور آگے بڑھتے رہیں۔“ فنکار نے ملا کی دانشمندانہ باتوں کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔ اس دن لوگوں نے سیکھا کہ ہمت، صبر اور مسلسل کوشش سے زندگی کی مشکلات پر قابو پایا جا سکتا ہے۔
