Titel: Mulla Nasrudin & the Donkey's Price

Once upon a time, Mulla Nasrudin was walking to the market with his donkey. It was a beautiful morning, and the village market was full of people buying and selling different things.

As Mulla walked along the road, he met a man who was interested in buying his donkey.

The man looked at the donkey carefully and asked, “Sir, how much do you want for this donkey?”

Mulla Nasrudin looked at his donkey, smiled, and replied, “I want one thousand gold coins for him!”

The man was shocked. He looked at the donkey again and said, “One thousand gold coins? That is far too much! This donkey is not even worth one hundred gold coins!”

Mulla smiled calmly and said, “You may be right. Perhaps the donkey is not worth one thousand gold coins. But let me explain something to you.”

The man became curious and asked, “What do you mean?”

Mulla replied, “I am not selling the donkey itself. I am selling the right to buy this donkey. If you give me one thousand gold coins, you will have the right to buy him from me. If you do not pay that price, you cannot buy him.”

The man burst into laughter. He realized that Mulla had cleverly turned a simple question into a funny answer.

“You are a very clever man, Mulla Nasrudin!” the man said.

Mulla smiled, held his donkey’s rope, and continued walking toward the market. He was happy because he had used his wit to entertain the man without getting into an argument.

The man watched Mulla walk away and shook his head with a smile, amazed by his cleverness.

Moral of the Story: Intelligence and a good sense of humor can help us handle difficult situations. Sometimes, the cleverest answer is not the one people expect!

2. ملا نصرالدین اور گدھے کی قیمت
مکمل کہانی اردو میں

ایک دفعہ کا ذکر ہے کہ ملا نصرالدین اپنے گدھے کے ساتھ بازار جا رہے تھے۔ صبح کا وقت تھا اور گاؤں کا بازار لوگوں سے بھرا ہوا تھا۔ ہر طرف خرید و فروخت ہو رہی تھی اور لوگ اپنی اپنی چیزیں بیچنے میں مصروف تھے۔

جب ملا نصرالدین راستے سے گزر رہے تھے تو ان کی ملاقات ایک آدمی سے ہوئی۔ وہ آدمی ملا کے گدھے کو غور سے دیکھنے لگا اور اسے خریدنے میں دلچسپی ظاہر کی۔

اس آدمی نے ملا سے پوچھا، ’’جناب! آپ اپنے گدھے کی کتنی قیمت مانگتے ہیں؟‘‘

ملا نصرالدین نے اپنے گدھے کی طرف دیکھا، مسکرائے اور جواب دیا، ’’میں اس کے ایک ہزار سونے کے سکے مانگتا ہوں!‘‘

یہ سن کر آدمی حیران رہ گیا۔ اس نے دوبارہ گدھے کو دیکھا اور کہا، ’’ایک ہزار سونے کے سکے؟ یہ تو بہت زیادہ قیمت ہے! یہ گدھا تو سو سکوں کے برابر بھی نہیں ہے!‘‘

ملا نصرالدین مسکرائے اور بڑے اطمینان سے بولے، ’’آپ کی بات شاید درست ہو۔ ممکن ہے کہ یہ گدھا ایک ہزار سکوں کا نہ ہو، لیکن میری بات غور سے سنیے۔‘‘

آدمی نے حیران ہو کر پوچھا، ’’آپ کیا کہنا چاہتے ہیں؟‘‘

ملا نصرالدین نے جواب دیا، ’’میں گدھا نہیں بیچ رہا، بلکہ گدھے کو خریدنے کا حق بیچ رہا ہوں۔ اگر آپ مجھے ایک ہزار سونے کے سکے دیں گے تو آپ کو یہ گدھا خریدنے کا حق مل جائے گا۔ اور اگر آپ یہ قیمت ادا نہیں کریں گے تو آپ اسے نہیں خرید سکیں گے۔‘‘

یہ بات سن کر آدمی زور سے ہنسنے لگا۔ اسے احساس ہوا کہ ملا نصرالدین نے کتنی ہوشیاری سے ایک عام سے سوال کا دلچسپ جواب دیا تھا۔

آدمی نے مسکراتے ہوئے کہا، ’’ملا نصرالدین! آپ تو واقعی بہت ذہین اور حاضر جواب آدمی ہیں!‘‘

ملا نصرالدین مسکرائے، گدھے کی رسی پکڑی اور بازار کی طرف چل پڑے۔ وہ خوش تھے کہ انہوں نے اپنی عقل اور حاضر جوابی سے آدمی کو محظوظ کیا اور کسی بحث میں پڑے بغیر آگے بڑھ گئے۔

وہ آدمی ملا نصرالدین کو جاتے ہوئے دیکھتا رہا اور ان کی ذہانت پر مسکراتا رہا۔

سبق: عقل مندی اور حاضر جوابی مشکل حالات کو آسان بنا سکتی ہے۔ بعض اوقات بہترین جواب وہ ہوتا ہے جس کی لوگ توقع بھی نہیں کرتے!

ایک دفعہ کا ذکر ہے کہ ملا نصرالدین اپنے گدھے کے ساتھ گاؤں کے بازار جا رہے تھے۔ ملا نصرالدین ایک عقلمند اور مزاحیہ انسان تھے، جو ہمیشہ لوگوں کو اپنے دلچسپ اور حاضر جواب انداز سے حیران کر دیتے تھے۔

راستے میں ان کی ملاقات ایک آدمی سے ہوئی جو ان کے گدھے کو خریدنے میں دلچسپی رکھتا تھا۔

اس آدمی نے گدھے کو غور سے دیکھا اور پوچھا، ’’ملا صاحب! آپ اپنے گدھے کی کتنی قیمت مانگتے ہیں؟‘‘

ملا نصرالدین مسکرائے اور جواب دیا، ’’میں اس کے ایک ہزار سونے کے سکے مانگتا ہوں!‘‘

ملا نصرالدین نے اطمینان سے مسکراتے ہوئے کہا، ’’آپ کی بات شاید درست ہو۔ ممکن ہے کہ میرا گدھا اتنی قیمت کا نہ ہو، لیکن میری ایک دلچسپ بات سنیے۔‘‘

آدمی نے تجسس سے پوچھا، ’’وہ کیا بات ہے؟‘‘

ملا نے جواب دیا، ’’میں گدھا نہیں بیچ رہا، بلکہ اسے خریدنے کا حق بیچ رہا ہوں۔ اگر آپ مجھے ایک ہزار سونے کے سکے دیں گے تو آپ کو میرا گدھا خریدنے کا حق مل جائے گا۔ ورنہ آپ اسے نہیں خرید سکتے۔‘‘

یہ سن کر آدمی زور سے ہنسنے لگا۔ اسے احساس ہوا کہ ملا نصرالدین نے کتنی ہوشیاری سے ایک غیر متوقع جواب دیا تھا۔

ملا نصرالدین مسکرائے، گدھے کی رسی پکڑی اور بازار کی طرف چل پڑے۔ وہ خوش تھے کہ انہوں نے بحث کرنے کے بجائے اپنی عقل اور حاضر جوابی سے آدمی کو ہنسا دیا تھا۔

سبق: عقل مندی اور مزاح مشکل حالات کو آسان بنا سکتے ہیں۔ بعض اوقات بہترین جواب وہ ہوتا ہے جس کی کوئی توقع نہیں کرتا!
