لاہور کے دل میں، جہاں پرانی گلیاں اور نئی سڑکیں ایک دوسرے سے ملتی ہیں، ایک نوجوان لڑکا رہتا تھا — امجد ثاقب — جو ایک دن یہ سوال کرے گا کہ “جب دل اتنے سخی ہیں تو ملک میں غربت کیوں ہے؟”

ایک تعلیم یافتہ مگر سادہ گھرانے میں پیدا ہونے والے امجد ثاقب نے بچپن ہی سے خدمت اور انسانیت کا سبق سیکھا۔ والد ایک استاد تھے — نظم و ضبط کے پابند اور دیانتدار، جبکہ والدہ نے انہیں سکھایا کہ دوسروں کی مدد صدقہ نہیں، فرض ہے۔ یہی سبق بعد میں ان کی زندگی کا فلسفہ بن گیا۔

تعلیم میں امجد ہمیشہ نمایاں رہے۔ انہوں نے کنگ ایڈورڈ میڈیکل کالج سے ایم بی بی ایس مکمل کیا، اور چاہا تو وہ ایک کامیاب پرائیویٹ ڈاکٹر بن سکتے تھے، مگر ان کے دل میں کچھ اور ہی آگ تھی۔ انہوں نے سول سروس آف پاکستان میں شمولیت اختیار کی تاکہ عوامی خدمت کو عملی شکل دے سکیں۔

مگر ایک دن، ایک واقعے نے ان کی زندگی کا رخ بدل دیا۔
ایک غریب مزدور، جو محض چند ہزار روپے کے قرض کی وجہ سے اپنے بچوں کو کھانا نہیں کھلا سکتا تھا، امجد کے سامنے آیا۔ وہ شخص محنتی تھا، مگر حالات کے ہاتھوں مجبور۔ یہ منظر ڈاکٹر امجد کے دل کو چیر گیا۔

اس رات وہ سو نہ سکے۔ ان کے ذہن میں ایک سوال گونجتا رہا:
“اگر ایک شخص محض ضمانت کے نہ ہونے پر بھوکا ہے، تو کیا میں اس کی ضمانت نہیں بن سکتا؟”

اسی سوچ سے اخوت کا آغاز ہوا — ایک ایسا انقلابی تصور جس نے خیرات کو عزت، اور قرض کو بھائی چارے میں بدل دیا۔

سن 2001 میں، ڈاکٹر امجد نے اپنی جیب سے 10,000 روپے نکال کر ایک غریب درزی کو بغیر سود قرض دیا۔ چند مہینوں بعد وہ درزی پورا قرض واپس لے آیا۔ اور یوں دنیا کی سب سے بڑی بغیر سود مائیکرو فنانس تحریک کی بنیاد پڑ گئی۔

آہستہ آہستہ اخوت پھیلنے لگی۔ مسجدیں بینک بن گئیں، محلے خاندان بن گئے، اور اعتماد نئے نظام کا مرکز بن گیا۔ آج اخوت نے لاکھوں خاندانوں کو عزت سے روزگار دیا، اربوں روپے قرض دیا — مگر ایک روپیہ بھی سود نہیں لیا۔

ڈاکٹر امجد نے یہاں رکنا گوارا نہیں کیا۔ انہوں نے اخوت کو تعلیم، صحت، رہائش اور لباس تک پھیلایا۔
انہوں نے اخوت کالجز، اخوت یونیورسٹی اور اخوت کپڑا بینک قائم کیے تاکہ کوئی نوجوان تعلیم سے محروم نہ رہے، کوئی خاندان سردی میں کانپتا نہ رہے۔

ان کا ایمان تھا:
“غربت دولت کی کمی نہیں، موقع کی کمی ہے — اور ہم یہ موقع محبت سے پیدا کر سکتے ہیں۔”

ڈاکٹر امجد کے کام کو دنیا نے سلام کیا۔ انہیں ہلالِ امتیاز سے لے کر رمون میگسے سے ایوارڈ تک کئی عالمی اعزازات ملے۔ مگر وہ آج بھی ایک عام پاکستانی کی طرح سادہ لباس میں، عاجزی سے، اللہ کا شکر ادا کرتے ہوئے نظر آتے ہیں۔

ایک دنیا جو منافع کے پیچھے بھاگ رہی ہے، وہاں ڈاکٹر امجد ثاقب نے دنیا کو یاد دلایا کہ سب سے قیمتی سرمایہ اعتماد ہے۔

آج اخوت صرف ایک ادارہ نہیں — یہ امید کی علامت ہے۔
یہ ثابت کرتی ہے کہ اگر نیت خالص ہو تو چند ہزار روپے بھی انقلاب لا سکتے ہیں۔

جیسا کہ ڈاکٹر امجد کہتے ہیں:
“جب ایک دل دوسرے دل کے لیے کھلتا ہے، تبھی اصل انقلاب شروع ہوتا ہے۔”

We had the honor of meeting the dynamic leadership of Bano Qabil, one of Pakistan’s most visionary skill-development and youth-empowerment programs. Under the inspiring leadership of Mr. Shahid Iqbal, the CEO of Bano Qabil, the initiative has trained and transformed thousands of young Pakistanis — empowering them with digital, technical, and entrepreneurial skills to build sustainable futures for themselves and their communities.

Today, the Rehan Team — including Gulsana Mansha, Maha Khan Graphicswali and Daulat Educationwala — had the privilege of meeting Mr. Shahid Iqbal and his talented colleagues, Mr. Hasib (Head of IT) and the Head of Academics.

It was an inspiring and productive discussion where we presented the Rehan School Curriculum and our AI-Integrated Teacher Training Program. The Bano Qabil leadership appreciated the innovation and impact potential of our model, showing deep enthusiasm for how AI can redefine learning in Pakistan.

We are now excited to share that two pilot batches are being planned in collaboration with Bano Qabil, marking the beginning of what we hope will become a long-term, high-impact partnership.

We eagerly look forward to hosting the Bano Qabil team at our office soon to finalize details and officially begin this joint journey of empowering Pakistan’s teachers, students, and youth through AI-first education.

اس دَور میں، جہاں آوازیں براعظموں کو جوڑتی ہیں اور لہجے فاصلے مٹا دیتے ہیں، ایک ایسی شخصیت موجود ہے جس کی آواز لوگوں کے دلوں کو چھوتی ہے — میاں فَرخ خ شمسی۔
وہ ایک مشہور اینکر پرسن، ریڈیو براڈکاسٹر اور ڈیجیٹل کری ایٹر ہیں، جو لندن میں مقیم ہیں مگر ان کی باتیں پوری دنیا میں سنی جاتی ہیں۔

آغاز — شوق سے مشن تک

بچپن ہی سے انہیں بات کرنے، سمجھانے اور جوڑنے کا ہنر حاصل تھا۔
ریڈیو کے دور میں، جب نہ سوشل میڈیا تھا نہ یوٹیوب، میاں فَرخ خ شمسی نے مائیکروفون کو اپنی پہچان بنایا۔
