If you're a real man, you face problems head on If you avoid a problem and you're a pussy If you're a guy and you don't take direct actions to solve the problem NOW, you're weak and a coward As I needed to prove to society and myself that I was a real man, I became very good at solving problems at the moment they arose When a problem happen, I focused all my energy on resolving it, not matter how much energy and time it was draining from me That made me in many ways a great entrepreneur because problems became my way of life I was proud to call myself a problem solver The issue of course is that some problems are best solved by time, patience and letting go Trying to solve these with sheer force and will power often just makes them worse I was at a party a friend organized and the DJ she invited played very slow music and as a result nobody was dancing Nobody was doing anything but the party was dying I knew that talking directly to the DJ may offend him so I tackled the problem in the most direct way that seemed likely to succeed: I asked the organizer if she could talk to him as he's a friend of hers She told me that there's no need to talk to him and instead, we should dance with high energy just in front of him My first thought was "why is she avoiding to talk to him directly and pussying out because it could cause tension or a conflict" But she's a person I highly respect and who has deep wisdom so I followed her lead And it worked!! 😳🙏🏽🌟🥳 Conflict and tension were at the heart of my life because I had to prove I was a socially accepted image of what a strong man needs to be She showed me a path that I discovered isn't avoiding the problem or being a coward, but a more gentle and indirect solution She inspired me to practice this way of being, and I'm noticing that some problems aren't as problematic anymore Some problems still need a heads on direct approach, but many problems are best solve indirectly and/or with time and patience This more feminine approach to problem solving is a wonderful gift to my life and it's helping me reduce the amount of time I spend solving problems and facing tension and conflicts As a result, I feel lighter and that I now have so much more free time Questions to meditate on: Are you more of a direct or indirect problem solver? Back in April 2011, i created a facebook account with the specific aim of connecting with the foreigners. I banned, Urdu and any other language on my account. I only added friends from Western Europe, Middle East, far East Asia and Latin America. Within a year, my English skills improved dramatically. Not only that, i was able to learn a lot from the foreigners. My perspective changed about life. I got rid of judgemental behaviour, stigma, stereotypes, and so much more. In 2014, i created the largest multi-cultural group on Facebook with more than 45 admins with each representing their own country. The group had admins to represent countries, ethnic groups and even religions. At just the age of 19, i was fully aware of the importance of freedom speech. Thus, i allowed and encouraged healthy debates among the members and admins. Most of the members of the group were from Europe. A lot of them participated in the group activities. Alhamdulillah, i was lucky enough to realize the power of social media back in 2011. I communicated with foreigners for over a decade. Today, i have some great friends from Europe, the U.S and Russia and my communication skills are above average. Honestly, i learned a lot from the Facebook experience both in terms of expanding my knowledge and getting to know about the real meaning of life. . Bilal Khan
