Day 10
Mulla Nasruddin & the Donkey's Price – Description
Mulla Nasruddin & the Donkey's Price is a famous folktale that teaches an important lesson about value, negotiation, and perspective.
In the story, Mulla Nasruddin takes his donkey to the market to sell it. Different buyers offer different prices. One buyer says the donkey is worth less than Mulla's asking price, while another offers even more than Mulla expected. Surprisingly, Mulla refuses both offers and finally sells the donkey to someone who agrees with the price he believes is fair.
The story shows that the value of something is not fixed. Instead, its price depends on what both the buyer and the seller agree upon. Through his clever actions, Mulla Nasruddin teaches people that opinions about value can differ, and a successful deal happens only when both sides are satisfied.
Moral of the Story
"The value of anything is what the buyer is willing to pay and the seller is willing to accept."
This humorous story encourages readers to think wisely about pricing, negotiation, and making fair decisions in everyday life.
