Of the many many many people I have met / have spoken with around the world - whether in the 65+ countries I have visited or on Facebook or wherever...... Pakistanis are by far the first to "champion the Palestine cause" and also by far the first to admit they have never met a Palestinian, yet tell me exactly where they get their information from (kinda nowhere) - without questioning anything, nor any desire to even speak with a Palestinian - they say they know all there is to know. (Forget the concept of actually speaking with an Israeli!) I ask myself often, why Pakistanis? Especially as our histories are more similar than different, Pakistanis have full access to freely read other view-points, other sources of information, even from other Muslims & Palestinians. (There is no censorship in Pakistan.) And I especially question this because I can say that personally, some of the most wonderful, educated people/friends I have met are from Pakistan. People who took the time to not just blindly accept the little bit of information given to them, but to educated themselves, speak to Israelis, etc. Maybe it is done out of curiosity, maybe out of a desire for the most important thing in the world - KNOWLEDGE. Dunno. For me, Pakistanis are the most complex mixture of people when it comes to understandings of Israelis! One person may ask why we drink the blood of Palestinians (or just know it as a fact...) (WTF?! Btw, have never ever ever ever even heard this bizarre thought except from Pakistanis), another person can discuss with me the incredible similarities Israel & Pakistan have, knowing there is so much we can learn from each other - and knowing we are not violent Muslim-hating monsters. So yeah - asking random Pakistanis, pointless. Won't add anything. Unless they are open to learning. But still won't add anything to a discussion on Israelis & Palestinians even if one is open to learning. I still am curious however as to why the huge Pakistani 'involvement' based on almost zero information - a million times more than most other Muslim countries! Why? And also, if I sounded negative, 100% not intended. Just the opposite. Pakistani government I wonder spends so much time on working for Kashmir, I request them to please spend the same time on fixing our own existing country and citizens ! Having said that for citizens please you love to talk about Kashmiris please, start taking to them 1 you can find some on Meet a Kashmiri show 2. In I want Friends from Kashmir 3. You can add Qazi Mu andOwais Ahmad and Firdouss Nabi who are all in Indian side Kashmir ! Instead of talking about them, please talk to them !
