Very powerful questions form Shel Israel ! I think most of our leadership around the globe is totally unaware of this coming future !

The more I look at the issue of AI and job replacement, the more concerned I become, particularly for everyday people in everyday jobs. I am worried about the impact to the economies when billions of the worlds consumers are limited severely in what they can consume. I am additionally concerned about governments that are so tightly intertwined with the very rich that they care nott a rats ass about everyday people.

My question to you today is this: How do you think jobs can be created in the AI Century? Who should or will finance them? Will it be governments, socially responsible employers, social entrepreneurs or what?

Where will those jobs be based? Will it be in heartland America or overpopulated Nigeria?

Any ideas?

Hello Brunch !

Meet Abdul Ghafoor

I am in my mid 50s. I am here in Dubai for last 20 years and have been a serial entrepreneur ever since I left Pakistan in 1997. I went to LUMS for my MBA in the very first session in 1986. After my MBA I joined Financial Industry and progressed fast to be a Vice President in just 8 years. I left corporate sector to start something I always fancied which is Entrepreneurship and moved to Dubai.

In Dubai I have founded and exited a few businesses. I have pioneered a few first time products and services in the region. My present business Mangrove Services is also an idea based Steam Cleaning business that we introduced in UAE.

Launching new businesses based on new ideas is what captures my imagination. I have many ideas of working with and helping Pakistani youth. I have a plan to start Opportunity Clinics for young people in Pakistan once I move back in next few years inshaAllah.

We will have a 65 year old prime minister, I hope we can have a under 40 year old president for a country of which 75% population is under 30 year of age, who has grown up with technology and is not a migrant on it !

In the the come years, technology is the most important factor of change and evolution, and those who don’t themselves understand it will not be able to understand the importance of it !

Yesterday on his live speech Imran Khan (official) couldn’t believe that his video will be streamed globally live !

All our leaders blame technology where as it’s critical and crucial that they understand that how it works !
