    # Mulla Nasruddin and the Missing Ring

One evening, Mulla Nasruddin was walking through the village when he saw his neighbor searching under a bright street lamp.

“What are you looking for?” Mulla asked.

“My gold ring!” the neighbor replied. “I lost it, and I can't find it anywhere.”

Mulla began helping him search under the lamp. They looked around for several minutes, but the ring was nowhere to be found.

Suddenly, Mulla asked, “Are you sure you lost your ring here?”

The neighbor shook his head and said, “No. I actually lost it in the sand near my house.”

    Mulla looked surprised.

“Then why are you searching here?” he asked.

The neighbor replied, “Because there is more light here!”

Mulla smiled and said, “My friend, the light may be better here, but your ring is still hiding in the sand!”

They walked over to the sandy area near the neighbor's house. Mulla carefully searched through the sand while the neighbor helped him.

After a few minutes, Mulla's hand touched something hard.

“Look!” Mulla shouted. “I found your ring!”

    The neighbor was delighted.

“Thank you, Mulla! You are very clever.”

Mulla laughed and replied, “Remember, my friend: **If you want to find something, look where you lost it—not where it is easiest to search.**”

    ### Moral

**We should look for answers in the right place, even when the right place is difficult to search.**

    Mulla Nasruddin’s Clever Plan
One day, Mulla Nasruddin was walking through a village when he saw a group of people arguing loudly.
A rich man had lost a bag of gold coins. He suspected that one of the villagers had stolen it. The rich man promised a reward to anyone who could find the thief.
The villagers were afraid because there was no evidence against anyone.
Mulla Nasruddin came up with a clever plan.
He gathered everyone together and said, “The thief is among us. I have a magical donkey that can identify the thief. When the thief touches its tail, the donkey will bray.”
The villagers became nervous. Mulla then took his donkey into a dark room and asked each person to touch its tail.
But secretly, Mulla had covered the donkey's tail with black soot.
After everyone had touched the tail, Mulla brought them outside and examined their hands.
    One man's hands were clean.
Mulla pointed at him and said, “You are the thief!”
The man was shocked and confessed.
Everyone asked Mulla how he knew.
Mulla smiled and said, “The donkey didn't identify him. His clean hands did! An innocent person would have touched the tail without fear.”
The villagers praised Mulla for his clever plan.
Moral: A clever person can solve a difficult problem by using intelligence rather than force.

    ### 🫏 Mulla Nasiruddin and the Donkey’s Price

One day, Mulla Nasiruddin took his old donkey to the market to sell it.

A man looked at the donkey and asked,
“**Mulla, how much do you want for this donkey?**”

    Mulla replied, “**Thirty gold coins.**”

The man agreed and bought the donkey.

But instead of taking it home, he immediately began praising it loudly in the marketplace:

“Look at this wonderful donkey! It is strong, healthy, clever, and hardworking!”

    People gathered around.

One man shouted, “**I’ll give forty coins!**”

    Another said, “**Fifty!**”

    Then another shouted, “**Sixty!**”

    Mulla Nasiruddin watched in amazement.

    He thought,
“**All these years I thought my donkey was ordinary. Perhaps it is actually a very special donkey!**”

    The bidding continued.

    “Seventy coins!”

    “Seventy-five!”

    Finally, the auctioneer shouted,
    “**Eighty coins! Anyone higher?**”

    Mulla suddenly raised his hand.

    “**Eighty-five!**”

    Everyone looked at him.

    The auctioneer said, “Sold!”

Mulla happily took his donkey back home.

When his wife saw him, she asked,
“**Mulla! Didn't you sell that donkey?**”

    Mulla smiled and said:

“**Yes, I sold it… but then I discovered how valuable it was, so I bought it back!**”

    ### The Lesson

Sometimes we don't realize the value of something until someone else shows us its worth. But Mulla's wisdom was mixed with a little foolishness—he ended up paying **more to buy back the donkey he had just sold!**

    # Mullah Nasiruddin and the Stolen Bag

One evening, a frightened man came secretly to Mullah Nasiruddin.

“Mullah Nasiruddin,” the man whispered, “I have stolen a bag from a rich man. The bag is full of gold. The owner is searching everywhere for me. What should I do?”

Mullah Nasiruddin looked at him calmly and said, “Do not worry. I know exactly what you should do.”

The thief became excited. “Really? Tell me quickly! How can I escape?”

Nasiruddin smiled and said, “Go back to the rich man and return his bag.”

The thief looked shocked. “Return it? Then he will catch me!”

Nasiruddin replied, “If you keep running, your fear will run with you. If you return the bag, your fear will disappear.”

The thief thought for a moment and said, “But what if he calls the guards?”

Nasiruddin laughed and said, “Then you will have learned the most important lesson: **stealing a bag is easy, but carrying the fear of being caught is much heavier.**”

The thief lowered his head. He realized that Nasiruddin was right.

He returned the stolen bag to its owner and apologized.

The rich man was surprised by his honesty and decided to forgive him.

From that day onward, the thief changed his life and began earning money honestly.

    ### Moral of the Story
