The reality is contingent upon an observer observing it, so when God created this universe, He needed an observer to acknowledge His creation so that He could then be recognized as the creator and worshipped. He then created humans with higher intellect and empowered them with consciousness - both are required to make an observation, as it being the observer relative. This propensity of individualistic observation gave rise to many concepts of the universe/s and its creator/s. For those who had a simplistic concept of God, the God remained a primitive manifestation, but for those who considered it to be complex and grand, God took up the concept of being Almighty, All-knowing, One and the Only Who shared none of His attributes with anything else.
Now if the observer did not pay attention to the creation of the creator, this is where the judgment will be served. Allah says that such people who did not pay attention and pondered upon my creativity will be raised blind on the day of the judgment.
