Pakistani’s - wherever they are, their heart beats with Pakistan. They love the country as much as those who live in the land. Many migrated for economic reasons, still many others have made temporary abode outside to provide families with better living. Irrespective of why they are abroad, for most the love for country, their yearning to see Pakistan progress is unquestionable. To deprive them of right to vote and be a part of decision making process in my book was a criminal act. Sooner it was corrected the better: Better late than never and so happy that finally they have gotten their right to Vote. All Pakistani’s registered with NADRA should have had a right to vote irrespective of location. Now they have and it is just superb.
Equally delighted the move towards technology for elections. Technology is the present and future. We can delay it but cannot escape it. Delaying usage of Technology in almost every field has costed the country beyond imagination. While world progresses at the back of Technology innovation & adaption, we in this country continued our romance with paper and manual processes - which is proven error prone and further corruption - sure enough it did. We have stayed behind. Happy that Government of Imran Khan has made this bold decision to make this move. Should have been done years ago but better late than never.
Heartiest congratulations to all overseas Pakistani’s for getting a voice. Superb news for all countrymen for making a major move towards the use of Technology in country’s decision making process.
