Problem lies with our policies and management of the policies, First of all there is no more distinction of telecom and IT.
The telecom does not exist any more as separate entity
I tried my best to merge media, IT, Telecom, Spectrum together and make one regulatory body and one ministry, could not succeed due to shortsightedness of many: Civil Servent, politicians and some organisations do not like to name on this forum

There is only one Regulator for all globally. No more separate entities
I also tried to bring regulatory regime of e-ecommerce the real vehicle for the ICT, I was very close when I left. Thanks God I see some work done by present State Bank Governer, should have been done in 2012
It is very important and much needed to merge the sector. The new task force should device integrated policies.
USF funds should be allocated for the development of ICT, my proposal is still laying in the USF fund minutes of the meeting approved by PM, however was not implemented by MOIT and that time member Telecom and later Chairman PTA.
That time I proposed Govt. Cloud with USF to provide the government application like: Taxation, Licences, Car and property registrations etc. this will gives Govt Control and eliminate corruption
I have not seen outcome or proposal of task force, there is no consultation with industry or public
Pakistani are excelling in IT globally why not in Pakistan.
Task force is stuck with software export, who is going to fulfil local demands
It is easy to find excuse. The nations need to work to excel and come up with Vision and implementation of Vision
