Even if Corona will be gone tomorrow, and will not come back (similar to what happened with SARS) this virus has fundamentally changed our world.
Here are 3 observations on the future of work:
* Remote work is here to stay. Companies will adjust to managing remote teams. They will see the value of hiring remote positions.
* Corporate travel will never be the same- companies will understand that you can do a lot without expensive travel. Virtual conferences (from 1:1 to big events) are here to stay.
* Salaries will change as workforce decentralize - today, for the same level of senior software engineer you pay $500k/y in the valley, $120k/y in New Zealand, and $35k/y in Thailand. Remote work will change our competition.
Do you agree? Do you see other big changes?
