Hey,

I am writing to express my deep concern about the Light Pollution Campaign here in Karachi.A campaign to announce public service message to develop and encourage people to have an awareness related with dark skies.
The sky we see today may not be able to see after few decades because of light pollution and acceleration of expansion of universe. Those celestial objects and heavenly bodies that we see today in sky will faint out due to human made light holographic images for Ad commercial publicity in skies, ,This will be our future to disturb and become disoriented from natural heritage of beautiful night sky if we dont think what damage we are doing to this planet Earth.
Too much light pollution has consequences: it washes out starlight in the night sky, interferes with astronomical research, disrupts ecosystems, has adverse health effects and wastes energy.
The Dark Skies for All project aims to raise awareness of the preservation of quiet and dark skies. Astronomy represents a rich and significant aspect of cultural and natural heritage and the project will stress the importance of preserving it and passing it onto future generations. Network for public engagement on light pollution protection actions, including government lobbying actions, making the term “light pollution” a household term.
Through this awareness public service campaign, sustainable objective that we can achieve that we can save energy as well as provide knowledge about futuristic studies of science and astronomy.

Currently i am Young Persons Representative of Royal Aeronautical Society Pakistan Division.Student of Masters in Astronomy and also became First Pakistani Dark Skies Ambassador of International Astronomical Union IAU100 "Dark Skies for All" Global Project.

The project will encourage the organization of worldwide activities around the UNESCO International Day of Light 16 May.

In past i was working as Assistant Aircraft Engineer in Shaheen Air International Pvt Ltd. and completed my Aerospace Apprenticeship, basic License holder of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering and have done bachelors in Space Science.

I am looking forward to meet you in person to discuss the details of this public service campaign, waiting for your positive response regarding this matter

Regards,

Rayan Khan
