Assalam alaikum Rehan. I am thankful for your page. I wanted to ask you for some insight. My fiance (in Islamabad) and I (Im not Pakistani and live in the US) want to get married in ISB this year, and instead of the usual shaadi stuff, wed like to spend the money towards having the wedding with a charitable cause, such as SOS villages or a food drive for the poor as an extension of walima or mehndi. Id also like to recruit 50 youth volunteers (maybe uni students) to attend the wedding event and give back to their community.

I was wondering if you have any good ideas on what activity we could do? Or any good local organizations in ISB that may be receptive to hosting our wedding? Tree planting, trash pick up, and food for the poor are the current ideas. When I get the idea down, I will crowdfund in the US to raise money and sponsor the event.

Thanks so much. Allah hafez.
