People are split on the correctness or otherwise of this step because it involves the end retailer and not the whole sellers. I personally think l that this is a wave of consumer activism powered by social and mobile media and all such activism is good. Remember that it is this insensitivity and lack of action that has resulted in numerous ills around us from bad politicians, to bad traffic behavior and absurdly high prices of eventually produced material (not to mention ladies clothing prices). Whether you support fruit movement or not, please do support activism which is always good.

Let us not be terribly concerned with this particular protest or its immediate results (read prices). We are talking about the activism that is probable to start happening in other areas too in future.
