One ☝️ thing Keeping Pakistanis poor ! When I look at today’s graduates and citizens of Pakistan, I realize something deeply troubling. They have been educated to believe that they live in Pakistan. In Lahore, Karachi, Chichawatni, Faisalabad, Multan. They have not been educated to understand that they live on Planet Earth. The same Earth. Under the same sky. Revolving around the same sun. Watched by the same moon that, at this very moment, is also being seen by someone in America, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Africa. This is not a philosophical statement. It is a practical, economic, and survival reality. ⸻ A National Mindset in an International Time Because people believe they “live in Pakistan,” they limit their thinking to Pakistan. They don’t look for: • Remote jobs outside Pakistan • Global freelance work • International clients • Online collaborations • Peers who earn 5x, 10x more Not because they can’t. But because their mind never left the border. They behave as if: • 250 million Pakistanis are the whole universe • Opportunities exist only locally • Money is earned only physically, not digitally • Work must be done “somewhere nearby” This is not their fault. This is what happens when: • You speak only one language • You have no friends with different names, accents, or cultures • Your news feed shows only local drama • Your TV discusses only national problems • Your social circle looks exactly like you Your mind becomes national, not global — even though we live in a global, real-time, borderless era. ⸻ The Internet Changed Geography — But Not Our Mindset Today, we can: • WhatsApp anyone on Earth at the same cost • Email CEOs, founders, researchers, teachers globally • Work for companies without ever leaving home • Learn from the best minds alive or dead Distance is dead. Cost is nearly zero. The only thing left is a mental limitation. That’s it. Nothing else. ⸻ This Will Be One of Our Biggest Regrets I am convinced that 25 years from now, people will look back and say: “We could have earned 5–10 times more.” “We could have lived better lives.” “We could have educated ourselves globally.” “We could have connected with the world.” And all of it was possible — without visas, without migration, without money. Just by reaching out. Just by making new friends around the world. Friends who: • Earn more • Think differently • Live differently • Solve problems differently Income follows mindset. Mindset follows environment. Environment today is global by default — unless you mentally block it. ⸻ The Same Ignorance That Killed a President This reminds me of James A. Garfield, the American president who died not from a bullet, but from dirty fingers. Antiseptic existed. Knowledge existed. The solution was simple. But it wasn’t implemented. Today, people are not dying physically — but economically, mentally, and socially, many are. Not because opportunity doesn’t exist. But because they never reached out to the planet. Same mistake. Different century. ⸻ If I Were the President of Pakistan If I were the President or Prime Minister of Pakistan, I would impose just one rule: Every citizen must make at least 500 friends from around the world — especially from countries that earn more. That’s it. No subsidies. No speeches. No complex reforms. Just exposure. That single step would: • Change how people think • Break inferiority and self-doubt • Expand imagination • Multiply income opportunities People would start earning 5–10 times more, not because Pakistan changed — but because their world expanded. ⸻ The Truth We Must Accept You don’t live in Pakistan. You live on Planet Earth. You live on the Internet. You live in a global economy. Pakistan is your address — not your boundary.
