As of November 1, 2024, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has not been sold. The Pakistani government set a minimum price of 85 billion Pakistani rupees (approximately $306 million) for a controlling stake in PIA. However, the sole bid received was significantly lower, at 10 billion rupees (about $36 million), which is approximately one-eighth of the minimum price. This substantial discrepancy has cast uncertainty over the privatization process.
