Pana Mentors:
Pana is actively seeking Mentors, Mentors are people of Pakistani Origin who are living in North America and Are able to donate 1 hr a month of there time, to connect to young ones of all ages from Pakistan to guide them and show them a better path, kind of like the big brother and big sister program in United States.
The goal is to build a stronger network between Pakistan and North America and Guide the people living in Pakistan with knowledge of what is going on in North America, and keep these mentees up-to dates on the emerging trends in North America.
FAQ related to the Mentor Program:
1. What kind of this youth group it will be, in terms of age, gendre, and education level, profession etc.?
We are seeking Mentors who can mentor kids over Facebook and Skype, so the ages are different of the mentee. Once you tell us more about you, we will publish about you in the PANA Mentor Group and kids from Pakistan can then connect to you based on what help they think they can get from you.
2. What kind of network will be used for my communication with this group?
Facebook will be the primary tool, as it allows you to feel close to someone with daily interactions and picture sharings, You can also use other tools as per your own convenience i.e. Email, Skype etc.
3. What will be the nature of schedule every month, in terms of Days, timings, duration for each session, total period of this activity?
This depends on your own schedule, we request you to spare at least 1 hr a week to follow up on the tasks and assignments you give to the mentee and also just check in on them to see how they are doing. Details can be decided directly by you and the mentee
4. What all you would expect from me, in terms of teaching about careers, social values, open-end discussions, Q & A sessions, or any other subjects?
The expectations are for you to be a big brother, uncle far from home for these young future leaders, to get a better sense of direction and your wisdom can guide them to be a better citizen of the world.
