I am a Phd Scholar in Frederick University, Cyprus as well as scholarship holder of one of the most reputed scholarship (Erasmus Mundus, INTACT Program) for my PhD Studies.
One good thing which I want to convey you and people out there. The specific Erasmus Scholarship program, I just availed was started 3 years back for South Asians. As far Cyprus is concerned, the ultimate reason which played a vital role in wining this scholarship is the reputation of the ex-scholarship holders from Pakistan. Although a lot of candidates from South Asia apply here but in Cyprus, Ex-Scholarship holders from Pakistan have made a very good repute by their extreme hardwork.
As rightly said by Iqbal:
~Zara nam ho tu ye matti bari zarkhaiz hai saqi~
My message to students studying and working outside Pakistan is:
"Please instead of thinking only about ourselves, we should make a good name so that other future applicants from our country can get benefit from this".
Sir, you are my real inspiration. Your cause of introducing and giving exposure to people of Pakistan in the World is extra ordinary. Actually there are very few Pakistanis living here in Cyprus. So for introducing Pakistan, I and my fellows, we usually invite locals and our university fellows from Europe on meals so that they can know about us, about our food, our music and the most important about our country. And most of them they promised us to Visit Pakistan and we going to host them.
Sir, for you whenever you came to Cyprus please it will be an honor for me to host you here.
