anyone wants to go with Asun Agulló ?

Dear Rehan: If you are interested in knowing more about what is happening in Africa and ME to our Christian brothers, I invite you to assist to an International Congress for Religious Freedom “We all are Nazarenes” . It will take place in Madrid during the days 17th,18th and 19th of April. I would be happy to go with you if you could come.

Pope Francisco asked for a prayer last Sunday, the Resurrection Sunday for all Christians in the world, “For all our brothers who are being prosecuted for their faith, in front of our eyes and many times with our accomplice silence”

The international community knows perfectly what is going along, yihad’s problem and Christians prosecuted all along the world, especially in Syria, Rak, Nigeria, but spreading to Kenia, Túnez, Libia, Sudan, etc.. politicians and governments are doing nothing to avoid the massacre of innocent people. And it is not only yihad, Al Qaeda or IS, who are in the middle of a struggle to see who of them is more barbaric, in many Muslim countries Christians can’t express their faith, they would be prosecuted, tortured, imprisoned,… We have the example of Asia Bibi in Pakistan, she is in the death corridor only for being a Christian.

In this conference you can hear and talk to Asia’s Bibi husband and her small daughter; 2 of the girls who were kidnapped by Boko Haram; Kayla Mueller’s parents, she was kidnapped and assassinated by IS, and the 4 bishops of Iraq, Nigeria and Syria who can give a first-hand testimony of what is happening in front of our eyes.

The conference tries to collect money in order to send humanitarian aid to those people, give them a voice in international media and social nets and put pressure on governments so they do more in order to avoid this carnage.

Maybe this is too much for you and you would take a risk if you publish in FB you have attended but under a human point of view I think it is a stunning experience which shakes our soul. I have attended to a similar Congress 2 years ago, when things were not so bad and I came out with the firm certainty that we have the moral duty of doing something, anything we can, and we will be assessed not only for our deeds but for our inaction.
I know people from different religions are being nowadays prosecuted for their faith, Jews killed for being Jews, etc… but this is what I know from first hand.

Best regards;

Asun
