Dear followers, Please read this , it is important that you understand that most people in the world do NOT know urdu / arbaic and do not wish to learn it for your sake.

This is one of my dear educationist friend who wrote to me.

my dear friend, how are you? what are you up to right now? and when are we traveling together? What are your plans? good to see your efforts to bring your country closer to other cultures and new ideas. And thank you for your trust to be one of netweavers around the world.

May I ask you to tell your students to be more specific why they want to be connected and how that would look like. This is one answer after asking for more details since he addressed me with Dear sir/mum in the first message: "Hello Im the student of Rehan Allawala, Im working on his motto to making friends out of religion, nation and country etc. and try to bring love and respect for others. so kindly accept my friend request. thanks."

I am not sure if his connection with me is from benefit. Some of your students also use very strange facebook pictures (in proportion a high number with the pakistani flag, arabic quotes (too many to ask each one what it means) with most of them I have had no communication or conversation so far.

What about creating a different learning space that is more interacting, open and transparent? Maybe a facebook group or a format as Pedro Souza (he discusses TEDx talks with his students and sometimes with the TED speakers) would be more helpful. We could help you in doing so. that might be part of a global classroom.

Personally I am reducing Facebook to a minimum of time since it is really time and energy consuming especially because we have lots of buzz around the eduhacks and edu on tour. so most of my conversations in facebook will be about education and other than that I will be staying in contact with my friends and personal contacts. So I will be more active in groups than in personal conversations even with others.

Hope that gives you some ideas and we can be more efficient in bringing the world together. Have a good time and life my friend.
