Why people talk and do not take actions !!

Many people really care about what is going on around them, it can be the political situation in their country or globally, it might be social issues like poverty, or environmental issues like pollution or energy problems. Other may want to improve their families life, the care for better education for their kids or simply just wish for happier life.
Although people care about all these issues, only few are really taking action to change something in their lives. Researchers tried to find out what stops people from taking actions of things they care about and found very interesting behavior. Most of us doesn’t take action because we don’t believe we can change something, we don’t believe we can make a difference. We don’t see how we can actually make an impact.
On this post I would like to encourage you to take an action and actively to be involve with things you care about and you wish to be changed. The reason for that is simple, this kind of activity will bring great meaning and joy to your life even if your goal is hard to achieve and your activity is taking a lot of energy from you. I will say it even stronger, your need to create an impact is crucial to your well being as much as food for your stomach!!
You see the problem is that most of the time we can’t even realize what we are capable of and how much of an impact we can create around us and fully understand how influential we might be if we just start to act about things we care of.
This remind me how I found out by myself what a huge impact we can create if we only give it a chance. It was back on the 4th of November 1995, one of the worst days of our country history. An assassin took our Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin life with Beretta semi-automatic pistol. All our nation was in shock from that terrifying events. The loss was hard to accept, we all felt totally hopeless and didn’t know how to express our feelings.
At the time I worked on one of the first online portals in Israel, with tears in our eyes our team was searching that long and sad night for a way to express our sorrow. We have open an online condolence book and invited people to share their condolence with the family, with us and with the rest of the world. In the morning I was still looking for something to add to this online condolence page, I felt something is missing, something that may connect all of us in emotional way, something in language anyone speak and understand.
On that morning an idea come to my mind, and I asked our team to create something totally different from what anyone ever did before on the Internet. I asked our team to create the first Online Virtual Candle. From the moment we added this virtual candle and invited people to lit it, it all evolved like a storm. The impact was astonishing, from all over the world, from US, Australia, Japan, From the Arab World, Christian, Hindu, Muslim, Jews, Israelis, Palestinians, hundreds of thousands people came to our condolence book to lit a virtual candle for the memory of our late Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin R.I.P. Within days our little virtual candle spreader all over the world and was publish on all the leading newspapers and TV channels from the Washington Post to the CNN. For the first time the people of the internet have created the news, something not so obvious at all back in 1995.
On that day I have learned a very important lesson, it doesn’t matter who you are or where you are coming from, you can create a huge impact in this world and you must try again and again and dont give up because something will come up!
These days more than 3 billion people are connected to the Internet, 1.3 billion are connected on Facebook. We never had this opportunity to talk with each other, now we have it and we must do it! We have to connect each other and make a move for a better world! Start to talk with your friends on Facebook about the things you care about and ask them to suggest you to friends that also care about this issue . You will be so surprise to find out how many people you can find out there that wish to promote the same cause and together with them you will be able to bring a big change. So don’t wait, start today, I’m with you!!
