I made facebook accounts for My Parents, BOTH of them were not using Technology, nor were they into it, However after 4 years of suggesting friends to them, and adding their friends for them in their accounts, eventually BOTH of them are now using their facebook, I strongly recommend you to make Facebook accounts for your parents, and add your and their friends in them, and eventually I am very sure they will use it, Buy them a smart phone with their facebook on it, so they can browse the photos and news feed even if they do not know how to read in some cases.
