Mulla Nasruddin and the King's Difficult Questions
One day, a wise king announced that anyone who could answer his three difficult questions would receive a grand reward.
Many scholars and learned people came to the palace, but none could satisfy the king. Finally, Mulla Nasruddin stepped forward with confidence.
The king asked his first question:
"What is the most powerful thing in the world?"
Mulla smiled and replied,
"Time, because neither kings, wealth, nor power can overcome it."
The king nodded and asked his second question:
"What is the greatest treasure?"
Mulla answered,
"Honesty and knowledge, because they remain with a person even when money is gone."
Impressed, the king asked his final question:
"Who is the greatest person?"
Mulla respectfully replied,
"The one who helps others, remains humble, and always speaks the truth."
The king was amazed by Mulla Nasruddin's wisdom. He rewarded him generously and declared,
"True greatness comes not from wealth or power, but from wisdom, honesty, and good character."
Moral
True success comes from wisdom, honesty, humility, and kindness. These qualities make a person truly great.
