Mulla Nasrudin once went to the market with his donkey. He wanted to sell it, but he wasn't sure how much it was worth.
The first buyer offered 100 coins, but Nasrudin refused.
Another buyer offered 200 coins, but again he said, “Too little!”
A third buyer offered 300 coins, but Nasrudin still refused.
A wise old man asked, “Why don't you tell them the price you want?”
Nasrudin smiled and replied, “I don't know the donkey's value, but now I know their limit!”
Moral: Sometimes, the best way to understand the value of something is to see how much others are willing to give for it.
