One evening, Mulla Nasrudin was searching for his precious ring outside his house.
He looked under the trees, near the doorway, and even along the road.
A neighbor saw him and asked,
“Nasrudin, what are you looking for?”
“My ring!” Nasrudin replied.
The neighbor joined him and asked,
“Where did you lose it?”
Nasrudin pointed toward his house and said,
“I lost it inside my room.”
“Then why are you searching outside?” the neighbor asked in surprise.
Nasrudin smiled and replied,
“Because there is more light outside!”
The neighbor laughed and said,
“But you will never find your ring here if you lost it inside.”
Nasrudin nodded wisely and said,
“That is exactly what people often do. They search for answers where it is easy to look, instead of where the problem really is.”
**Moral:**
Don’t look for answers in the easiest place. Look where the problem actually began.
