๐ซ Mulla Nasrudin & the Donkey’s Price
One day, Mulla Nasrudin was walking through a busy bazaar when he noticed a donkey standing near a shop with a wooden sign around its neck that said, **“Price: 1000 Rupees.”** Mulla became curious and asked the shopkeeper, **“Is this donkey really worth 1000 rupees?”** The shopkeeper proudly replied, **“Of course! This is a very valuable donkey.”** Mulla looked at the donkey, smiled, and said, **“If it is worth 1000 rupees, then I will buy it for 500 rupees.”** The shopkeeper immediately shook his head and said, **“No, sir! I cannot sell it for 500 rupees.”** Mulla smiled and replied, **“Alright, I will come back tomorrow.”** The next day, Mulla returned to the same shop and said, **“Yesterday you said this donkey was worth 1000 rupees, but today I will give you only 250 rupees!”** The shopkeeper started laughing and asked, **“Mulla, why are you lowering the price every day?”** Mulla cleverly replied, **“Because I am still trying to understand how you decided its price in the first place!”** Everyone in the bazaar laughed at Mulla’s clever answer, while the shopkeeper realized that Mulla had once again turned an ordinary situation into a funny lesson.
**Moral: The price of something does not always show its true value; we should think carefully before deciding what something is really worth.**
