🫏 Mulla Nasrudin & the Donkey’s Price
English Story
One day, Mulla Nasrudin went to the market to sell his donkey. 🫏 A man came to him and asked, “Mulla, how much do you want for your donkey?”
Mulla thought for a moment and said, “I want 100 gold coins for him.”
The man was surprised. “One hundred gold coins? That donkey is not worth that much!”
Mulla smiled and replied, “Perhaps you are right. But if you don’t buy him, I will find someone who will!” 🫏
A few moments later, another man came and asked about the donkey. Mulla again said, “His price is 100 gold coins.”
The second man laughed and walked away. ‍
Mulla calmly took his donkey home and said, “Sometimes, knowing the true value of something is more important than selling it quickly.” 🫏
He understood that not everything should be judged only by its price.
Moral of the Story
Know the value of what you have, and never let others decide its worth for you.
