Mulla Nasrudin & the Tightrope Walker
ملا نصرالدین اور رسّی پر چلنے والا
English Story
One day, a famous tightrope walker came to Mulla Nasrudin’s village. He stretched a long rope high above the village square and began walking across it.
Everyone gathered to watch. Children cheered, and the villagers clapped loudly.
Mulla Nasrudin watched carefully and said, “What an amazing skill! But I think there is one thing missing.”
The tightrope walker stopped and asked, “What is missing, Mulla?”
Mulla smiled and replied, “You need someone to remind you to keep your balance!”
The crowd laughed.
Then Mulla picked up a long stick and began walking on the ground while pretending to balance on an invisible rope.
Everyone laughed even more!
The tightrope walker smiled and said, “Mulla, you may not be able to walk on a rope, but you certainly know how to make people smile!”
Mulla bowed proudly and said, “Balance is important in life too—not just on a rope!”
Moral of the Story
A balanced life requires wisdom, confidence, and a good sense of humor.
اردو کہانی
ایک دن ملا نصرالدین کے گاؤں میں ایک مشہور رسّی پر چلنے والا فنکار آیا۔ اس نے گاؤں کے چوک کے اوپر ایک لمبی رسّی باندھی اور اس پر چلنا شروع کر دیا۔
سب لوگ اسے دیکھنے کے لیے جمع ہو گئے۔ بچے خوشی سے شور مچانے لگے اور گاؤں والے تالیاں بجانے لگے۔
ملا نصرالدین غور سے اسے دیکھ رہے تھے اور بولے، “واہ! کیا زبردست مہارت ہے! لیکن میرے خیال میں ایک چیز کی کمی ہے۔”
رسّی پر چلنے والے نے رک کر پوچھا، “ملا صاحب! کس چیز کی کمی ہے؟”
ملا مسکرائے اور بولے، “آپ کو کسی ایسے شخص کی ضرورت ہے جو آپ کو توازن برقرار رکھنے کی یاد دلاتا رہے!”
یہ سن کر سب لوگ ہنس پڑے۔
پھر ملا نے ایک لمبی چھڑی اٹھائی اور زمین پر چلتے ہوئے ایسے اداکاری کرنے لگے جیسے وہ کسی نظر نہ آنے والی رسّی پر چل رہے ہوں۔
سب لوگ اور بھی زور سے ہنسنے لگے۔
رسّی پر چلنے والا بھی مسکرایا اور بولا، “ملا صاحب! شاید آپ رسّی پر نہ چل سکیں، لیکن آپ لوگوں کو مسکرانا ضرور سکھا سکتے ہیں!”
ملا نے فخر سے جھک کر کہا، “زندگی میں بھی توازن ضروری ہے، صرف رسّی پر نہیں!”
کہانی کا سبق
متوازن زندگی کے لیے دانائی، خود اعتمادی اور مزاح کا اچھا احساس ضروری ہے۔
