25-Minute Interview – A Meaningful Learning Experience

As part of my learning activity, I conducted a 25-minute interview with a classmate, facilitator, or family member. This interview was a wonderful opportunity for me to practice communication, improve my confidence, and learn something new from another person’s experiences and ideas.

Before starting the interview, I prepared a set of questions so that the conversation could be organized, interesting, and meaningful. During the interview, I focused on listening carefully to the answers, asking follow-up questions, and giving the interviewee enough time to share their thoughts. This helped me understand that a good interview is not only about asking questions but also about being a good listener and showing respect for another person’s opinions.

Throughout the 25-minute conversation, I learned about different experiences, challenges, achievements, interests, and lessons from life. Some answers gave me new ideas and encouraged me to think about things from a different perspective. The interview also helped me understand the importance of communication and how confidently expressing our thoughts can make conversations more effective.

This activity was also a great way to develop my speaking and listening skills. At first, conducting an interview can feel challenging, but with preparation and practice, it becomes an enjoyable learning experience. I learned how to introduce the topic, ask clear questions, maintain a natural conversation, and respond appropriately to the answers.

Recording the interview was another important part of this task. It allowed me to document my work and share the complete learning experience through video. By watching the recorded interview, I can also identify areas where I can improve, such as speaking clearly, maintaining confidence, asking better questions, and communicating more effectively.

Most importantly, this interview reminded me that every person has a story, experience, and knowledge that we can learn from. Sometimes, meaningful learning happens through simple conversations with the people around us.
