Day 11:Story post
Titel:Mulla Nasrudin’s Wise Answer
Full Story in English
Once upon a time, Mulla Nasrudin was walking to the village market with his donkey. He was a wise and humorous man who always knew how to answer people in unexpected ways.
On the way, he met a man who was interested in buying his donkey.
The man looked at the donkey and asked, “Mulla, how much do you want for your donkey?”
Mulla Nasrudin smiled and replied, “I want one thousand gold coins for him!”
The man was very surprised. He laughed and said, “One thousand gold coins? That is far too much! Your donkey is not even worth one hundred gold coins!”
Mulla Nasrudin smiled calmly and said, “You may be right. Perhaps my donkey is not worth that much. But let me tell you something interesting.”
The man became curious and asked, “What is it?”
Mulla replied, “I am not selling the donkey itself. I am selling the right to buy him. If you give me one thousand gold coins, you will have the right to buy my donkey. Otherwise, you cannot buy him.”
The man burst into laughter. He realized that Mulla had given him a clever and unexpected answer.
“You are truly a clever man, Mulla Nasrudin!” the man said.
Mulla smiled, held his donkey’s rope, and continued walking toward the market. He was happy because he had answered the man with wit instead of getting into an argument.
Moral: A clever mind and a good sense of humor can make difficult situations easier. Sometimes, the best answer is the one nobody expects!
