Today, I want to introduce you to my two good friends, Mr. Ali Valika and Miss Nisreen Valika. Ali and Nisreen are descendants of a remarkable family, whose contributions have left an indelible mark on Pakistans industrial landscape.Their grandfather, the late Fakhruddin Valika, along with his brothers Najmuddin, Saifuddin, and Nooruddin Valika, pioneered the Valika Group. This visionary team brought about an industrial revolution in Pakistan, establishing key enterprises such as Valika Textile, Mohommadi Shipping, Valika Steel, and Valika Cement. Their efforts did not stop at industrial endeavors; they also laid the foundations for community upliftment through the low-cost housing scheme in Nazimabad and established a charitable school and hospital. After the elders passed, the mantle was taken up by Ali and Nisreen’s father, the late Kamruddin Valika, who was the eldest son and patriarch of the Valika family, and their mother, Shireen Valika. Despite the severe blow of nationalization, which threatened their enterprises, they ensured that the Valika familys interests were consolidated and preserved.Today, we remember and honor the legacy of the Valika family—pioneers who not only propelled the economy of a nascent nation but also deeply cared for their community. May their souls rest in peace and their deeds continue to inspire generations.
