I am Very proud of this man to have met him, Such an Amazing hero of Pakistan and America !
Meet Ahmed Rana
His words Translated:
When I first moved here, a lot of people told me very bad stories about African Americans as bad, ugly who dont have ethics to talk and live in a substandard lifestyle and they are thugs, thieves etc. but when I started to live inside their community, learned about them by getting along and got to know them in person, I realized that they are very the same as us as kind and peaceful people. The only thing they are so greedy of is ‘love and respect.
Soon I arrived at a conclusion that all of what I heard bad about them was false and wrong. Today, whatever Ive, own my properties, wealth, fame is because of them as 80% of my clients are black. When you drive through the central lane which is a jail few yards ahead, youll find several people standing by roads whom are given jobs etc. by the government agencies.
When I first established my office here, I made several friends from these communities. Once at night when I setting in my office along with two black friends, a saw two rubbers were rushing towards me to rob me but then my two friends came forward and started to tell them that what are you doing?
“This man Ahmed Rana is among us. He is our friend. He came to help us by setting up his business in our area. He must be a Pakistani but he is our brother from another mother.”
Since that day, I never faced any kind of discrimination or racism from these black people. Generally, we immediately start developing a judgemental attitude about anyone but forget to get to know them in person. I believe that we first need to know an individual or community in person, talk to them and know about their feelings, problems and associate ourselves with them then youll get a real picture. We all are humans and all we need is to love, respect and care for each other. We are proud Pakistani and Pakistani Americans.
