Once, an old man had three sons who always fought with each other. He was worried they would never live in peace. One day, he called them and gave them a bundle of sticks tied together. He asked each one to break it, but none of them could. Then he untied the bundle and gave them each a single stick. They easily broke them one by one. The old man said, “If you stay united, no one can harm you. But if you fight, you will break like these sticks.”
Moral: Unity is strength.
ایک بار ایک بوڑھے آدمی کے تین بیٹے تھے جو ہمیشہ آپس میں جھگڑتے رہتے تھے۔ وہ بہت پریشان تھا کہ ان کے درمیان کبھی اتفاق نہیں ہو گا۔ ایک دن اس نے انہیں بلایا اور ایک لکڑیوں کا بندھا ہوا گٹھا دیا۔ اس نے ہر بیٹے سے کہا کہ اسے توڑ کر دکھائے، لیکن کوئی بھی نہ توڑ سکا۔ پھر اس نے لکڑیاں الگ الگ کر کے دی، اور سب نے آسانی سے ایک ایک کر کے توڑ دیں۔ بوڑھے نے کہا، "اگر تم اکٹھے رہو گے تو کوئی تمہیں نقصان نہیں پہنچا سکے گا، لیکن اگر الگ الگ رہو گے تو ایسے ہی ٹوٹ جاؤ گے۔"
اخلاقی سبق: اتحاد میں طاقت ہے۔
