There was once a shepherd boy who used to take his sheep to the hill. To have fun, he shouted, “Wolf! Wolf!” even though there was no wolf. The villagers came running to help, but the boy laughed at them. He repeated this trick many times. One day, a real wolf came and attacked the sheep. The boy cried loudly for help, but no one came. The villagers thought he was joking again. The wolf killed many sheep, and the boy learned a painful lesson.
Moral: Liars are not believed, even when they speak the truth.
ایک چرواہا لڑکا روز اپنی بھیڑیں لے کر پہاڑی پر جاتا تھا۔ وہ دل لگی کے لیے زور زور سے چیختا: "بھیڑیا! بھیڑیا!" حالانکہ کوئی بھیڑیا نہیں ہوتا تھا۔ دیہاتی دوڑتے ہوئے آتے، لیکن لڑکا ہنسی اڑاتا۔ اس نے یہ مذاق کئی بار دہرایا۔ ایک دن واقعی بھیڑیا آ گیا اور بھیڑوں پر حملہ کر دیا۔ لڑکا زور سے چیخا، مگر اس بار کوئی نہیں آیا۔ دیہاتیوں نے سمجھا کہ وہ پھر مذاق کر رہا ہے۔ بھیڑیا کئی بھیڑوں کو مار گیا، اور لڑکا ایک تلخ سبق سیکھ گیا۔
اخلاقی سبق: جھوٹے کی سچائی پر بھی یقین نہیں کیا جاتا۔
