Mulla Nasrudin's Wise Answer
One day, a group of scholars gathered in the village square to test Mulla Nasrudin’s wisdom. They posed a riddle: "Mulla, can you tell us what is greater than God, more evil than the devil, the poor have it, the rich need it, and if you eat it, you will die?"
Nasrudin stroked his beard, smiled, and replied, "Nothing." The scholars fell silent, puzzled. One of them demanded, "Explain yourself!" Nasrudin chuckled and said, "Nothing is greater than God, for all is beneath the divine. Nothing is more evil than the devil, for evil pales in comparison to nothingness. The poor have nothing, the rich need nothing to remain rich, and if you eat nothing, you will surely die."
The crowd erupted in laughter and applause, marveling at Nasrudin’s clever twist. The scholars, though humbled, nodded in respect for his sharp mind.
