There are 85 million smartphones in Pakistan—each representing an opportunity to transform individual lives and, in turn, the economy. The average Pakistani earns approximately $100 a month, but with AI tools like ChatGPT and Gemini, citizens can learn to earn more. These AI tools can serve as personal tutors, helping people find ways to generate additional income based on their skills and interests.

AI technologies are capable of guiding individuals in nearly every profession or business, from freelancing to digital entrepreneurship. ChatGPT and Gemini offer tailored, step-by-step advice in simple Urdu, enabling citizens to understand and act on their earning potential.

The Proposal: A Simple, Focused AI Campaign

I propose a nationwide advertising campaign delivered four times daily—morning, afternoon, evening, and night—with a single, clear message:
“Ask AI how you can earn $500 (or 150,000 PKR) per month, and it will guide you accordingly in plain, simple Urdu based on your abilities.”

This message would encourage citizens to seek personalized income-generating advice from AI tools, which are readily available on their smartphones. With AI being the best tutor available today, it can help Pakistanis learn new skills and navigate opportunities to increase their monthly income.

Economic Impact:

If just 10% of smartphone users—8.5 million people—embrace this idea and start earning an additional $500 per month, the impact would be monumental:

• 8.5 million people x $500/month = $4.25 billion/month
• $4.25 billion/month x 12 months = $51 billion/year

This increase in income would have a direct, positive effect on the GDP and significantly improve the financial standing of the nation. Moreover, as more citizens earn in foreign currency through digital work, Pakistan’s foreign reserves will grow, contributing to long-term economic stability.

Implementation Strategy:

1. Simple Message: The key to success is keeping the message simple and actionable: “Ask AI how to earn $500 a month.” This single call to action should be advertised across TV, radio, social media, and mobile networks.
2. Repetition for Impact: Broadcasting the message four times a day ensures that it reaches a broad audience and is ingrained in the minds of the population. The consistent reminder will inspire millions to explore the potential of AI for improving their incomes.
