  • 13 Massive Predictions for “AI” in 2023

    1. Content is going to Change.
Right off the bat: AI makes it possible to create copious, voluminous amounts of content. You can use Jasper or WriteSonic or other tools and produce hundreds or thousands of articles per month. They make writing video scripts easier. They write social media posts for you. The amount of content being produced is going to increase exponentially. Like a hockey stick. If you thought there was a lot of content being produced now, just wait. What you’ve seen so far is just a grain of sand, but suddenly we’re going to look up and see an entire endless beach.

    2. That Change Will Be Good and Bad.
It’s going to be good for marketers and brands at the start. It’s also going to lead to abuse. You’ll see a drastic increase in junk content. Platforms aren’t going to like it and they are going to fight back. The AI Content Companies themselves are going to have to take self-correcting measures. This is true already: OpenAI is already working on a digital watermark functionality that prevents their content from turning into spam. The way that impacts the distribution of content generated from things like ChatGPT remains to be seen.

    3. Either way though, expect platforms to ban AI Generated Content.
Google already says they don’t allow AI Content for SEO stuff etc. But they also kind of admit they can’t track it. I was talking to a heavy hitter in the tech space yesterday (guy basically brought the QR Code to the US then Sold His Biz for 8 Figures, and this was many years ago), and he said it’s going to be hard for Google and other networks to keep up. But they definitely will be trying.

    4. Also, Google is Going to Be Under Immense Pressure.
A lot of people are already talking about the way OpenAI’s ChatGPT could replace search engines. It makes sense. Google’s Search has felt kind of broken to many of us for a while. In comparison, with ChatGPT, you just type in your question and get a good answer. There are some accuracy concerns, but it’s overall a way better experience.

Obviously this would not be good for Google. Roughly 57% of their Revenue comes from Search.

    5. One likely consequence of this is that you see Google rush out their own competitive "answers" to this stuff.
For example, their DeepMind AI. They have been keeping that fairly quiet, but expect that to change. OpenAI is putting immense market pressure on Google and that could very much benefit us as marketers and consumers.

    6. Speaking of search though, a second component of this people are talking about less is SEO.
With AI as it stands now, it’s way easier to manipulate search engine rankings. In other words, there are tools like ContentAtScale that can basically auto-generate long-form, SEO optimized content that is Google-Proof and that targets keywords with search volume but no competition.

Right now it’s a game-changer. What happens when everyone is doing this though? How do search results change? What does Google do? Do they affix “verified” websites to their top rankings? If they do that, it solves the problem but it also destroys the sort of “democratic” promise of Google, which is that anyone with great content that is accurate, helpful, and useful, can get visibility.

So in the short-term, Search Engine Optimization is going to be great. In the medium-to-long-term, Search Engine Optimization might go away entirely. But that would be bad for Google too.

    7. A LOT of People are Going to Be Out of a Job (Including Many Copywriters)
If I had to guess, I would say 80% of copywriters will be out of a job within 12 months. I’ll talk more about what I’m doing to make sure none of the copywriters in my communities are part of that 80% in a minute. But I feel pretty confident in that stat.

It’s not just copywriters though. Video Editors. Content Writers. Programmers. Voice Over Artists. Data Analysts. Designers. Graphic Artists.

AI can now create better than most “creatives” can. It’s only going to get better.

    8. A Lot of SaaS Companies are Going to be Screwed Too.
The services their software provides can now often be done for a fraction of the price. Call Centers are in the same boat.

    9. You’ll see an AI “Bubble” Get Created in Silicon Valley.
I already had this thought, then I was listening to the most recent episode of the All-In podcast yesterday and they were talking about it too. If you don’t know that podcast, it’s 4 extremely successful investors and venture capitalist who talk about various topics. But anyways, they were saying how all the VC Money is going to start flooding into startups that harness AI in various ways. This will lead to the aforementioned bubble. It won’t be a bubble because AI is not at an insane inflection point that will be revolutionary. It’ll be a bubble because VCs will invest wildly and blindly as they don’t want to miss out. FOMO is what will cause this bubble.

    10. Short Term is About Quantity. Medium-to-Long it Goes Back to Quality
One of the big pushbacks to all of the sea-changes with AI is a greater desire for authenticity. Getting verified will be more important than ever if you’re a marketer, brand, or public figure. Having your content verified as “human” will also become important. Quality will become more important than ever. This will happen in like 6-12 months most likely. So in the very short-term it’s a quantity game, then itll switch to a quality game.

    11. The “Experience Economy” Is Going to Get A Whole Bigger (And More Important)
The other longer-term shift you’ll see, that’ll really get going in 2023, is a desire for offline experiences.

So just like people will want to know content is authentic, and platforms will have a vested interest in stifling AI Content…people are going to increasingly look for authentic offline experiences. The “Experience Economy” is nothing new, but it’s going to become more important. People and brands that create and lead these experiences will be very, very valuable.

    12. Data is the New Oil.
This isn’t an original idea. I’ve heard it from many places over the last year, and they talked about it again during that All-In episode I mentioned previously. But it’s true. AI feeds on Data. There’s actually a “shortage” of data if you can believe that. One solution is “Synthetic Data” which is where companies essentially create fake but representative data to feed AI. But in general, if you’re doing a startup or a business, your data is your treasure. Don’t just have a website: build an app too.

    ---

This is just a handful of predictions.

OpenAI’s ChatGPT opened up Pandora’s Box. Financial markets are going to get wonky AF. Deepfakes are going to get more convincing.

    It’ll be weird.

    However…

    13. Ultimately, AI is About to Usher in an Unprecedented Era in Human Creativity and Productivity.
Things are about to go exponential. Not just quantities but scales. With AI you can produce 100x, 1000x the number of outputs you could prior. Used right, AI becomes an amazing tool for empowering us and letting us reach creative heights that were previously off-limits.

    ---

Okay and then lastly, what about copywriting?

    Here’s the deal with that:

It’s going to wipe-out all of the people who were in copywriting for the wrong reasons. So people who got in because they just wanted to make money. But it’s not going to wipe-out the people who are really obsessed with the craft (at least not for a while).

By using ChatGPT and other GPT3 Platforms you can eliminate the research time behind your copy drastically. You can even get bullet points, a sketch of your prospect, etc. That stuff is AWESOME. If you know what good copy looks like, understand the structure of copy, and understand how to put the pieces together…

AI should allow you to write copy in about 10% of the time it took you prior.

    So for example…

Pretty soon there’ll be no excuse not to write a sales letter within a day. Anything else will be you slacking.

For people who don’t really understand copy that well…or who kind of get it but haven’t really mastered the structure or the concepts…

Or who don’t really know all the important subtleties…

They’re going to miss the boat.

For those people who are always half-assing it or phoning it in…

AI Copywriting programs are already better than them.

In fact, I would say that AI Copywriting is already better than at least 80% of copywriters.

    But there’s a HUGE gap between 80% and 100%.

This actually creates a massive opportunity for copywriters who are really good. You’ll have less competition, but your skills will be in-demand as people want you to take an uncut and unpolished gem and transform it into a glistening diamond. It’ll be boom times for 20% (or maybe 10% of copywriters).

    Given all of this…

The way we are approaching it within the Copy Accelerator Ecosystem:

Genesis. Right now we’re focusing on getting our mentees to master the craft “manually.” So understanding good structure, understanding how to write great copy, and so forth. Then, within a few weeks to maybe a month at most, we’re going to start working in more AI and showing our members how to harness this for exponential output.

The reason we’re doing it that way is because if you don’t understand what good copy looks or how to write it or all the elements…jumping into AI is like giving a kid the codes to the nuclear suitcase. It’s not going to end well.

You need the foundational knowledge first, and then your growth and efficiency will be exponential from there.

For CA PRO: Luke, Mario, and I are working on a lot of really crazy strategies for harnessing AI right now. We’re going all-in on this. I would be shocked if we don’t have 100-200 employees in Arizona in the next six months. I’ll be pissed if we’re not doing 9 figures in revenue within 12 months of today.

We’re going to have unprecedented amounts of data that we can share with CA PRO members. Split-test wins. Angles. Hooks. Trends in the Market. For every niche imaginable.

We’re also pioneering new traffic generating strategies. I’m keeping all of this very close to the chest right now, but as we start getting results from all of the things we’re doing, CA PRO will be the first place we share stuff. I’d say timeline to start sharing insane stuff is 2-4 weeks max.

  • Did you know that Elon Musk is a Twitter super user? He has tweeted more than 19,000 times since joining the platform 13 years ago! This year alone, he has been averaging six tweets per day. Talk about being active on social media!
Elon Musks relationship with Twitter is quite unique. He has been vocal about the platforms issues with spam and bots, even expressing suspicion about the authenticity of his 105 million followers. In fact, he has tweeted about Twitter itself at least 150 times, according to a Washington Post analysis.
But it doesnt stop there. Elon Musks tweets have had a significant impact beyond just social media chatter. Some of his tweets have been correlated with rapid rises or falls in various asset prices, triggering lawsuits and regulatory investigations. His tweets have even earned him the title of the most followed user on Twitter, with nearly 134 million followers as of April 2023, surpassing the likes of Barack Obama and Justin Bieber.
Elon Musks acquisition of Twitter for $44 billion in April has also stirred up controversy. As a self-proclaimed "free speech absolutist," he has expressed his vision of making Twitter a platform for all kinds of speech. However, his ownership has raised questions about the platforms content moderation and the impact on free speech and democracy.
