  • **Mulla Nasruddin and the Greedy Judge**

One fine afternoon, Mulla Nasruddin was riding his donkey through the bustling marketplace when a distraught, poor man ran up to him, weeping tears of distress. "Mulla Sahib! Please help me!" the man pleaded. "The town judge has wronged me terribly!"

Nasruddin patted the man on the shoulder to comfort him. "Calm down, my friend. Tell me what happened."

The poor man explained, "I was standing outside a soup shop, eating a dry piece of bread. The steaming soup pot was releasing a rich, mouth-watering aroma, which gave flavor to my stale bread as I ate. Seeing this, the shopkeeper demanded I pay him for the smell! When I refused, he brought me before the judge. To my dismay, the judge sided with the greedy shopkeeper and ordered me to pay 50 gold coins for enjoying the scent of the soup! I don't have that kind of money. If I can't pay, I'll be thrown into prison!"

Understanding the judge's greed and injustice, Nasruddin smiled reassuringly. "Fear not, my friend. Come with me to the court—I will represent you."

When they arrived at the courtroom, the judge sat proudly on his high velvet throne, with the smug shopkeeper standing nearby.

"Mulla!" the judge boomed in a stern voice. "Why are you here?"

Nasruddin bowed respectfully and said, "Your Honor, I am here as legal counsel for this poor man. Tell me, is it true that he did not eat any of the soup itself, but merely enjoyed the aroma rising from the pot?"

The judge puffed out his chest and replied, "Indeed! But according to my law, every pleasure derived from another's property has a price. Therefore, he owes 50 gold coins!"

"You are absolutely right, Your Honor!" Nasruddin replied with a warm smile. "Justice must be served. I will settle my friend's debt myself."

Nasruddin pulled a heavy leather pouch full of coins from his robe. The entire courtroom went silent, astonished that Nasruddin would waste a fortune on a poor stranger.

Stepping close to the judge's throne, Nasruddin held the coin pouch right next to the judge’s ear and shook it vigorously!

**"Jingle, jingle... clink, clink!"** The sharp metallic ring of clattering coins resonated throughout the hall.

Confused and irritated, the judge asked, "Mulla, what on earth are you doing? Hand the money over to the shopkeeper!"

Nasruddin tucked the pouch safely back inside his cloak, gathered the reins of his donkey, and looked the judge dead in the eye with complete composure:

**"Your Honor, the debt is settled in full! This shopkeeper sold only the *smell* of his soup, so we paid him with the *sound* of our money! Since a smell has no physical form, a sound is its exact equal in value!"**

A burst of laughter erupted across the courtroom as the crowd cheered for Nasruddin's brilliant wit. The judge turned bright red with embarrassment, completely unable to counter Nasruddin's flawless logic. The poor man was acquitted on the spot, and Mulla Nasruddin calmly mounted his donkey and rode away into the sunset.

  • Mulla Nasruddin and the Invisible Treasure |

    English Story

One morning, Mulla Nasruddin was walking near an old hill when he noticed a strange glow coming from behind a large stone. He moved the stone and discovered a small wooden box. When he opened it, there was nothing inside that he could see. Suddenly, a mysterious voice said, “You have discovered the Invisible Treasure. It cannot be seen, but it can change the lives of those who use it wisely.” Mulla scratched his beard and wondered what kind of treasure could be invisible.

Mulla carried the empty-looking box back to the town and gathered a few curious people around him. He told them about the treasure, but they laughed and said, “Mulla, there is nothing in that box!” Mulla smiled and replied, “Perhaps you are looking for something that can be held in your hands.” He then asked everyone to bring one useful idea that could help another person in the town.

The next day, the townspeople began sharing their knowledge. A baker taught a young boy how to make bread, a farmer showed his neighbor how to save water, and an old carpenter taught children how to repair simple things. Soon, people were helping one another, and the whole town became more skilled and cooperative. Mulla pointed to the empty box and said, “Now you can see the treasure. Knowledge, kindness, and useful ideas become more valuable when they are shared.”

The townspeople finally understood what Mulla had discovered. The treasure had never been gold or jewels; it was the power of knowledge and generosity. Mulla placed the empty box in the town square as a reminder and said, “The greatest treasures are sometimes invisible because they live in our minds and hearts.” From that day on, the people of the town tried to share what they knew and help others whenever they could.

Moral: The greatest treasures are not always things we can see; knowledge, kindness, and generosity become more valuable when they are shared.

  • A lot of people know about Shaan Masala - Today after a wait of many many years, I finally met the Man Behind Shaan Masala Mr Sikandar Sultan, Again one of the most humble man, sweet, caring, and friendly.

Now what do you think he is worth in terms of financial terms? Now remember his brand is known by almost EVERY Pakistani who lives outside Pakistan and every middle class Pakistani in the world, His brand makes me proud to be from Pakistan , Shaan For Sure IS the SHAAN of Pakistan.

He wanted to have a cup of tea with us, so we went to the cafeteria of KSBL ( Karachi School of Business Leadership) and he saw some food there, which was by the way cold, so he inquired if he may take some food, as he has not eaten, and he took a small plate and took some biryani, I told him that the Curry is even nicer, and he took some, and here comes the fun part..

I called the waiter for some bread, and he stopped me, and he took the corner left over breads that were there, left by the waiters who were having lunch, and he started eating the food.

Later in the speech he pointed that most muslims love Allah, but do not want to FOLLOW the directions of Allah.

Tell me HOW MANY OF US ( Including me ) do this ? I know I do not leave the corners, but do we eat someone elses ? I will for sure from today do the same, as I remember a Hadees that a person who picks up the risk from floor and eat, he will have always a lot of Barakh in his risk.

May Allah bless this PRIDE / SHAAN of Pakistan

  • Please enjoy this little story I got from a friend: "When I was a kid, Mum liked to make food for dinner & I remember one night in particular when she had made dinner after a long, hard day at work. On that evening, Mum placed a plate of bread, jam and extremely burned biscuits in front of my dad. I remember waiting to see if anyone noticed! Yet, all my dad did was reach for his biscuit, smiled at my Mum and asked me how my day was at school. I dont remember what I told him that night, but I do remember hearing my Mum apologize to my dad for burning the biscuits. And Ill never forget what he said: "Honey, I love burned biscuits." Later that night, I went to kiss Daddy good night and I asked him if he really liked his biscuits burned. He wrapped me in his arms and said, "Your mum had a long hard day at work today and shes really tired. And besides... A burnt biscuit never hurt anyone but harsh words do!" You know, life is full of imperfect things...and imperfect people. Im not the best. What Ive learned over the years is that learning to accept each others faults and choosing to celebrate each others differences, is one of the most important keys to creating a healthy, growing and lasting relationship. So...please pass me a biscuit. And yes, the burnt one will do just fine! And please pass this along to someone who has enriched your life...I just did! Life is too short to wake up with regrets... Love the people who treat you right and have compassion for the ones who dont. ENJOY LIFE NOW - IT HAS AN EXPIRY DATE"
