  • I grew up in Pakistan, was told a lot of weird things about Hindus and Indians. Less than a month a go, I met a Hindu Indian man, who I spent the last 7 days with in his house, He did not know me, but let me stay with him, He does not eat any meat, never has in his life, So I ate with him, saw how he lives, One of the most cleanest house I have seen in the world, and I had to be super careful living in it, worrying not to harm anything , as his house is more like a museum. He feeded me , Made my breakfast, Literally poured medicine down my throat while I was sick for last 4 days, and took care of me, like a older brother will take care of anyone, I did not feel that I just met him 3 weeks a go.

This was my first experience to live for a week in almost anyones house, and let alone be a hindu man.

This man is extremely connected, has all the means of the world, and did NOT have to let me stay with him at all, as I had nothing to offer in return, yet he did, and It was a amazing experience, and when I left the house, i was given bananas , Water bottle, and Medicine bottles, which I had no choice to take.

I think I can not offer him the same to him if he comes to my house , as I think he is too busy man to spend a week in my house, but i request all of you who ever is reading, Please open your hearts, and your homes and your food table for conversations, specially with the ones, you least know about, or have a negative thought of, as only and only through conversation, would you know, what reality of ANYONE IS.

    God bless you all.

    And Thank You Amit Kanodia

  • 1. You know youre Pakistani when the concept of "spicy" for others is just the starting point for your everyday meals.

    2. Youve been part of a debate on whether Karachis biryani is superior to Lahores pulao, knowing well that this discussion could go on for hours without a definitive conclusion.

    3. You consider it a personal challenge to introduce foreigners to "paan" after a heavy meal and watch their reactions unfold.

    4. The joy of mango season is almost a religious experience, with discussions about the superiority of "Sindhri" vs. "Chaunsa" taking over family gatherings.

    5. Youve explained more than once that "chai" is not just a beverage; its an essential part of your daily routine and social fabric.

    6. You know that a true Pakistani breakfast can range from "halwa puri" to "nasi lemak," showcasing the countrys regional diversity and influences.

    7. Youve experienced the late-night "food street" excursions that start as a simple snack run and end with a full feast.

    8. You understand that "dhaba" (roadside restaurant) food holds a special place in Pakistani cuisine, offering some of the most authentic and flavorful dishes.

    9. The art of making the perfect "roti" is something youve seen mastered over generations, with each family swearing by their technique.

    10. Youve navigated the complex world of "karhai" varieties, each with its own unique blend of spices and preparation methods, from "chicken" to "mutton" and beyond.

    11. The concept of "afternoon tea" is incomplete without a generous serving of "samosas," "pakoras," and other snacks, turning it into a mini feast.

    12. Youve been part of conversations where "ghee" vs. "oil" cooking debates have gotten more intense than political discussions.

    13. The winter ritual of making "saag" and "makki di roti" is an annual tradition that brings families together, celebrating the harvest with warmth and joy.

    14. You understand that in Pakistani cuisine, theres a pickle ("achaar") for every occasion, adding a tangy zest to even the simplest meals.

    15. The sight of a "lassi" or "falooda" vendor on a hot day brings more joy than the sight of an oasis to a wanderer in the desert.
