Topic Mulla Nasruddin and the Wise Scholar
One day, a very wise scholar came to Mulla Nasruddin’s village. He was proud of his knowledge and believed that he knew the answer to every question.
The scholar asked Mulla Nasruddin, “Tell me, what is more important: knowledge or wisdom?”
Mulla smiled and said, “Let us have tea first.”
The scholar became impatient and said, “I came here for answers, not tea!”
Mulla filled a cup with tea until it overflowed onto the table. The scholar quickly said, “Stop! The cup is already full!”
Mulla replied, “Exactly! Your mind is like this cup. If you believe you already know everything, there is no room left to learn something new.”
The scholar became quiet and realized the lesson. He thanked Mulla for teaching him that true wisdom begins with humility and an open mind.
Moral:
A truly wise person never stops learning. Stay humble, keep your mind open, and be willing to learn from everyone.
