🫏 Mulla Nasrudin & the Donkey’s Price
Once upon a time, Mulla Nasrudin had a donkey. One day, he decided to sell his donkey at the market.
He took his donkey to the market and began asking people, “Who will give me a good price for this donkey?”
A man said, “This donkey is worth fifty gold coins!”
Another man said, “No, no! It is worth one hundred gold coins!”
Then a third man said, “You are both wrong! This donkey is worth two hundred gold coins!”
Mulla Nasrudin smiled and said, “Alright! I will sell my donkey for two hundred gold coins!”
After that, he walked away from the market with his donkey.
On the way, he thought, “If everyone thinks my donkey is worth two hundred gold coins, then it must be worth that much!”
Moral: The value of something is often influenced by what people think it is worth.
