Soon, a man came up to him and asked, “How much do you want for your donkey?” **Paragraph 2:** Mulla Nasrudin smiled and replied, “It depends on how much you are willing to pay.” The man thought for a moment and said, “I think twenty gold coins is a fair price.” **Paragraph 3:** Mulla Nasrudin shook his head and said, “Twenty gold coins are too little! My donkey is worth at least fifty gold coins.” The man was surprised and exclaimed, “Fifty gold coins? That is far too expensive!” **Paragraph 4:** Mulla Nasrudin laughed and said, “You say twenty is too little, and fifty is too much. Perhaps you are not really interested in buying my donkey!” The man felt embarrassed and walked away. Mulla Nasrudin continued his journey with a smile.
