An Unforgettable Meeting in Washington, D.C.
Today, I had the incredible honor of meeting Don Graham, the former publisher of The Washington Post, chairman of Graham Holdings (which owns Kaplan Education, multiple TV channels, and more), and a former board member of Facebook and the U.S. charter school system.
We’ve been connected on Facebook for over 10 years, but meeting him in person was truly special. Twice, he told me:
“I am very honored to know you for what you are doing.”
Coming from someone who has shaped media, education, and policy in such a profound way, these words meant a lot.
One of the things that stood out in our conversation was his passion for education—particularly his work supporting undocumented students in America through TheDream.US. He even shared that some of the students benefiting from this program are Pakistanis, which was wonderful to hear.
A truly inspiring leader and a meeting I will always cherish!
