Long ago, in a small and lively town, Mulla Nasrudin was walking through the marketplace when he noticed a huge crowd gathered around a performer. Curious as always, Mulla pushed his way closer to see what was happening.
Standing high above the ground was a skilled tightrope walker, carefully balancing on a thin rope stretched between two tall poles. The crowd watched with excitement and amazement as the performer moved slowly and confidently across the rope.
People gasped every time he took a difficult step. Some covered their eyes in fear, while others cheered loudly with joy. The tightrope walker showed incredible focus, courage, and balance.
After the performance, everyone praised the man’s talent. “What amazing skill! What perfect balance! How can anyone do such a dangerous thing?” they said.
Mulla Nasrudin smiled and replied, “You are all amazed because he can balance on a rope. But have you ever thought about how difficult it is to balance in everyday life?”
The people looked at Mulla with curiosity. He continued, “A person must balance happiness with sadness, work with rest, speaking with listening, and confidence with humility. Life itself is like walking on a tightrope. One careless step can create problems, but wisdom and patience help us move forward.”
