Assalam Alikum
Usage of Masaajid / Imambargah (& all other places of worship of all religions):
1. Millions of Pakistanis have to go out of their homes to get drinking water.
a. Masjid tank can be made the central point for them
2. Central point for ration distribution and disbursement of money under the Ehsaas program
3. Central place where the destitute can gather twice daily for meals
4. Blood donation camp for thalassemia patients and others
5. Central place for consultant doctors to meet their patients for advisory
6. Namaz (ensuring Social distancing):
a. Multiple jamaat may be conducted of small groups. Farz namaz may be prayed in Masjid, rest at home.
● Masaajid were never meant for namaz only.
o In Riyasat-e-Medina, Masjid was gathering point for deliberation & organizing of innumerable purposes
● Masjid is the place which EVERYONE would be willing to “serve”
o Many of us wont clean & sweep our own bedrooms, but we will even clean & sanitize the toilet of Masjid
● The way the LEAs are currently administering the roads and traffic, alternatively they can go inside the Masjid and assist the Masjid administration on social distancing and other matters
● There can be “SOPs” for usage of Masjid
o Whenever 2 or more people sit together in Masjid for discussion, they must sanitize that spot before leaving
o In case of non-compliance the whole community can conduct “social-banning” of such persons for a week
o In smaller localities, mostly, the Masjid Imam and Muazzan even know about the household of every person. The Imams and Muazzans can be trained & educated to:
▪ Teach their communities to conduct social distancing and other necessary cultured steps
▪ Distribute ration fairly and justly (under the direct control of LEA)
This is the time for the Ummat-e-Muslima to restart the actual and complete use of Masaajid.
Now is the time to use these places for EDUCATING mankind in ALL aspects of their lives
Masaajid were never meant only for namaz.
As for Taraveeh
The Government can have all the Huffaz register and the interested households can have these Huffaz conduct taraveeh namaz at their homes. This way many more huffaz will get a chance to lead Taraveeh this year, In Sha Allah.
